How to Adjust Vacuum Advance Timing

The correct adjustment of a vacuum advance unit of measurement is disquisitional to ensure that an automobile engine runs at its peak performance. Disconnect the vacuum pump and insert a iii/32 Allen wrench into the port on the vacuum advance where the hose connects. In that location is a minor adjusting screw in the vacuum advance. Turn the spiral clockwise to decrease the vacuum advance and counterclockwise to increase the advance. Remove the vacuum pump and timing light. Reconnect the vacuum-accelerate hose to the carburetor.
